I have heard far too many times that “we should not have to motivate students by giving them things.” The truth is we are all reinforced by something, whether it be a paycheck, awards, or some other opportunity. This speech dives into the importance of positive reinforcement and how to build an effective system that works for your students. With the understanding that you may be on a limited budget. I will teach you how to make the most of what you already have and identify some of the most reinforcing ideas that don’t actually cost money.
Effective Self-Disclosure
Have you ever overheard a staff member reveal something to a student that they should have kept to themselves? I believe that self-disclosure can be effective when done appropriately. Sometimes, however, that impact can be bigger than intent. This training focuses on how to use self-disclosure to motivate your staff and students, increase transparency, and maintain your dignity.
Decreasing Staff Burnout
We know, in the last four years school staff burnout has been at an all time high. Schools often ask, "how do we decrease burnout on a limited budget? This training will teach schools how to show genuine staff appreciation, implement cost effective appreciation strategies, and improve the mental health of their staff.
